The Swarovski fountain
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds is a unique attraction in Austrian Innsbruck. The fountain itself is a sculpture of an enormous giant with crystal eyes. A mighty fountain is coming out of the giant’s mouth. The sculpture was erected in 1995 for the opening of the world-famous Swarovski museum in Innsbruck. The splendour of the landmark has marvelled people ever since. A group of leading designers, sculptors and architect were invited to take part. The construction of the fountain is such that at the same time it serves as the main entrance to the museum. What a wonder of modern art indeed! The museum itself is located underground, which makes the fountain the only above-ground structure of the complex. It truly embodies best architect solutions and designer ideas.
